Synthetika is operated by BYOViral. We respect user privacy and operate transparent, minimal data collection practices. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is processed, and your rights.

1. Advertising & Analytics Cookies

Synthetika displays advertising through Google AdSense (publisher account ca-pub-0928966750491324) and monitors aggregate site traffic using Google Analytics 4 (property G-DJNGEN7JL9), Statcounter, and the BYOViral cookieless telemetry script.

Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom are presented with a certified consent management dialogue to control non-essential advertising cookies.

2. Geolocation Data

When you use the location detection feature on the homepage, your browser prompts you for permission. If granted, coordinates are processed locally to find the nearest supported city. When an intent prediction is requested, coordinates are transmitted to our API to calculate local weather and demand signals. We store a rounded geohash identifier for caching purposes; exact street-level coordinates are never permanently linked to personal identities.

3. Interactive Queries & AI Answers

Questions submitted to the search and research tool are transmitted to /api/answer, where they are processed by our search proxy and AI provider models to synthesize cited responses. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, or proprietary data in research queries.

4. Weather Data

Meteorological forecasts are requested by coordinates from Open-Meteo. No personal identifiers or account credentials are shared with weather providers.

5. Registered User Accounts

For registered users, we store your email address and a salted bcrypt password hash in our database. Session state is maintained via an encrypted NextAuth session cookie. We do not sell, rent, or trade account information.
