Methodology

Synthetika provides structured insights into local activity patterns. We believe in plain-spoken transparency about how our models work, what data sources we use, and what our scores represent.

1. What Intent Scores Represent

Our intent rankings are mathematical approximations generated by a deterministic model. They combine:

  • City Baseline Profiles: Pre-calculated point-of-interest (POI) density and historical category activity.
  • Time of Day & Week: Circadian patterns indicating when activities naturally peak (e.g. coffee runs in morning hours, dining in evening hours).
  • Weather Conditions: Current hourly meteorological data from Open-Meteo (temperature, precipitation probability, humidity).

These rankings are modeled signals of relative demand. They do not measure physical foot traffic, sensor counts, or mobile location tracking. We make no claims of mathematical infallibility or absolute certainty.

2. Research & Intelligence Articles

Articles published in our Intelligence Library are written by AI synthesis engines using current search results retrieved via our self-hosted search service. Every factual assertion must be anchored in the cited source material with numbered inline citations ([1], [2], etc.).

Before publication, articles pass through automated quality checks ensuring adequate depth (700+ words), multiple independent source domains, figures that trace back to a cited source, and no generic filler phrasing.

3. Reporting Inaccuracies

If you notice an outdated source, a misattributed citation, or an inaccurate local representation, please submit feedback through our contact page or email [email protected].
